Kobo just pushed out a new update today for the Kobo Desktop reading app.  At long last, readers can now type notes to add to their eBooks. This is an excellent development form Kobo, and it makes a great addition to the highlighting and bookmarks.

Kobo was the one platform left that didn’t support notes. Everyone else had similar features for nearly a year.

On a related note, Kobo also released an update for the Kobo Touch. It also got the new note taking ability (with an onscreen keyboard) as well as a couple new customization options. And the update brings a couple new options for the page turns. The default is that a tap on the right side of the screen advances the page, but you can set that to the opposite.

You cna download the updates by running the app or eReader and then telling them to sync your library with Kobo.
