Reuters reports that Kylie Minogue just launched a mobile social networking site for her latest single, “2 Hearts.”
The new site, www.KylieKonnect.com, lets fans register their mobile phones, blog, communicate with other users and upload images and video.
“The whole thing is set up so that Kylie can update her blog and have a closer connection with fans,” said Julia McNally, business development director at New Visions Mobile, the company that designed the site.
The article said the company believes the new site is a more mobile and flexible model than social network sites like MySpace and Facebook, which are already key marketing tools for many recording artists.
