On today’s edition of the Morning Media Menu, GalleyCat editor Jason Boog and I discussed how, for the first time in SocialTimes history, LinkedIn made us laugh and a cat video made us cry.

LinkedIn has made updates in the last couple of months that have made the way people interact with each other on the social network more like a game.

In other game news, one bookstore has put up a Random Book Generator that blindly selects your next book for you to add some mystery to your reading list (which may or may not involve a mystery novel).

Finally, we talked about the Year’s Best Cat Video starring the cute, blind kitten who just won $15,000 for his owners in a Friskies competition.
