LinkedIn Is Back Up After Experiencing Outages

It looks like LinkedIn tried to take off for Thanksgiving weekend a little early. The professional networking site had been experiencing outages since 7:30 this morning. By 12:22 p.m. ET, the company had alerted users via Twitter that the site was back up and running.

Websites like DownRightNow and DownForEveryoneOrJustMe, which monitor service issues throughout the Internet, first reported the possibility of an outage on the site. Affected users reported seeing a “bad gateway” page. TechCrunch confirmed the interruption in service with LinkedIn.

There, a screenshot of the error message reads, “The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. Please double-check the URL (address) you used, or contact us if you feel you have reached this page in error.”
