HGTV is backing real estate reality series Selling New York with its first social-media contest via its Facebook page, Live Like a New Yorker, in which fans have until Monday, Feb. 28, to upload videos of design projects inspired by the Big Apple for the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to New York to meet network stars including the cast of Selling New York.
Contestants can upload 90-second videos to the Scripps Networks-owned cable channel’s Facebook page or post YouTube links, and the winner will be decided via an online vote.
HGTV vice president of consumer marketing Annette Brun said:
This is HGTV’s most ambitious social-media-based promotion to date because it invites anyone from armchair decorators, home stagers, and design bloggers to showcase their individual design talents. We encourage anyone with a passion for design and a love of New York to participate. The ultimate prize will be a trip of a lifetime for any HGTV fan.
