Tweet me an opera? That’s what the Royal Opera House in London is saying, as it is encouraging Twitter users to write the story line for a “people’s opera,” one tweet (or 140 characters) at a time, AdAge.com reports.
The opera was kick-started by the beginning of the story on the Royal Opera House Blog. Twitter users can contribute by using the hashtag #youropera, according to AdAge.com.
At press time, 32 Tweets were posted to the Twitter Opera feed, AdAge.com reported.
Alison Duthie, head of the Royal Opera House’s ROH2 program, told AdAge.com:
It’s the people’s opera and the perfect way for everyone to become involved with the inventiveness of opera as the ultimate art of storytelling.
