Sometimes it’s difficult to avoid the snark. But forgive us; we’ve seen entirely too many of these spring up.
John Ferber, a former advertising.com co-founder, has launched Cellware.com, an ad-supported mobile media site heavy on social networking features, MediaPost reports. Cellware’s content includes ringtones, wallpapers, games, video clips and other mobile applications. Content suppliers include No Good TV, Go Music Network, Oddcast, SoundIdeas and Hanaho Games:
“Taking a page from video-sharing sites such as Revver and Metacafe, Cellware will split ad revenues from user-generated content uploaded to the site,” the report said.
We have nothing against any one particular service; but how many can the market support?
