Lost or stolen Kindle? Amazon says you’re out of luck
Enterprises have long sought phones that can be managed from a central location to remotely disable a lost or stolen phone. The iPhone finally gained ability to be found with the 3GS model if the owner also subscribes to Apple’s MobileMe service. Amazon can do the same if you report your Kindle lost or stolen. It can deregister the device so that it can’t be used to purchase more e-content.
