Macworld Daily Reader combines content from the print magazine and Web site, updated constantly, including reviews, analysis, how-to articles, and other fare, broken up into six categories: Mac, iOS, Business Center, Digital Photo, iPod & Entertainment, and Create.
Its Special Live View feature includes breaking news and a Macworld-curated Twitter list, and the app will be the first place select exclusive feature stories will appear. It also offers a slideshow interface, adjustable font sizes, sharing tools, and the ability to save articles for offline consumption.
Macworld editorial director Jason Snell said:
Macworld is a monthly magazine, and iPad users expect content more than once a month. We post more than 20 stories per day to Macworld.com, but many users don’t want to read that massive flow of information. The Macworld Daily Reader strikes a balance, updating regularly but only displaying the most important stories, handpicked by our editors, in a richer reading experience than they can get from the Web. The Macworld Daily Reader will also feature iPad-exclusive stories and a special Live View that shows what’s happening right now on our Web site and on Twitter.
