Major Ed-Tech Trends for 2013: INFOGRAPHIC

OnlineColleges.net has created an infographic called, “Major Ed-Tech Trends for 2013,” which explores how new technologies will be used in colleges this year.

According to the graphic, game based learning will mature and more universities will embrace eBooks this year. The graphic also predicts universities will communicate with students using SMS to communicate things like schedule changes, emergency closures and events.

Here is more from the graphic: “53 percent of college students own a smartphone; 47 percent of them own a feature phone; 93 percent text message on their phones; and 89 percent send text message alerts as part of a crisis communication plan.”
