Maker Magazine & Google Are Running Online Summer Camp For All

Looking to make the most of your teenager’s summer? Send them to camp. Maker Magazine is hosting Maker Camp, a free online summer camp that encourages you to create fun projects and share them with others via Google Hangouts. It’s free and open to people of all ages. There are even virtual “field trips.”

Here is more from the Google blog:

Each weekday morning, we’ll post a new project or activity on our Google+ page—30 things to make over six weeks. Each weekday afternoon, tune in to a live Google+ Hangout On Air to meet expert makers who create amazing things. And like last year, our Field Trip Friday Hangouts will take you to new places that few of us get to see. For instance, we’re excited to take you to NASA Ames Research Center next week, and this week we’ll be checking out one of the world’s fastest sailboats, from Oracle Team USA.

Campers can work on projects in their specific areas of interest and are encouraged to collaborate with others in this area.
