gregory_2-13.bmpMeet the Press moderator David Gregory joined Twitter this week, and has started to use the service as a means to interview newsmakers.

After Sen. Judd Gregg withdrew his nomination to become Commerce Secretary yesterday, Sen. Claire McCaskill (@clairecmc) tweeted, “Just heard news on Gregg. Old ways die hard around here. I know our President won’t give up on changing the unproductive partisan habits.”

Well that opened the door to Gregory, who responded, “@clairecmc Senator, do you think it was unrealistic to think Sen Gregg would be a good fit a Dem admin? Or was It Gregg who was unrealistic”

It wasn’t answered (McCaskill was a little busy), but if she did, would it be an on-the-record response for use on-air? It could be a continuation of a prior interview — McCaskill was one of Gregory’s guests on MTP last week.
