The death of Michael Jackson scrambled comScore‘s list of top video-streaming sites for June, with help from the Iranian election controversy, TechCrunch reported.
According to TechCrunch, the losers in June were Hulu, which dropped from third to seventh, and MySpace parent Fox Interactive Media, which fell from second to fifth. Winners were video search engine Blinkx, rising from sixth to fourth, and Microsoft, also moving up two spots, from fifth to third.
comScore’s top 10 for June by videos viewed: Google (7.365 billion), Viacom (773.6 million), Microsoft (695.7 million), Blinkx (623.4 million), FIM (597.7 million), Turner (496.1 million), Hulu (372.7 million), Yahoo! (370.7 million), CBS Interactive (195.1 million) and AOL (134.8 million).
comScore’s top 10 for June by unique viewers: Google (112.6 million), Microsoft (72.9 million), FIM (59.5 million), Turner (52.1 million), Yahoo! (50.3 million), CBS Interactive (41.7 million), Viacom (40.1 million), Hulu (36.9 million) and AOL (24.1 million).
