My favorite games on the original Xbox were Project Gotham Racing (PGR) and, later, Project Gotham Racing 2. I was even tempted to buy a Zune HD after its release just to play with the free PGR app for it after trying it on a friend’s device. So, I was very disappointed when PGR was not made available for Windows Phone after its release last year.

However, based on this item from AnythingButiPhone, there may be a slim chance that PGR may find its way to Windows Phone.

Microsoft looking into porting Zune HD apps to Windows Phone

A Microsoft business development manager said on the Zune Insider Podcast that they are looking at porting internally developed Zune HD apps to Windows Phone. Unfortunately, although the Xbox version of Project Gotham Racing has both the Bizarre Creations and Microsoft Game Studios imprints, it means that the software is not considered internally developed. Moreover, Actavision shut down Bizarre Creations earlier this year.
