Mobile Games May Be Draining Your Battery [Podcast]

On today’s Morning Media Menu (MP3 link), GalleyCat editor Jason Boog gave advice on how to prevent your mobile apps from draining the battery on your smartphone.

It turns out that 65 percent to 75 percent of the effort required to run free apps like “Angry Birds” is spent on running ads.

Later in the podcast, we discussed the 20th anniversary of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Facebook celebrated by shutting down protesters who showed up at the New York offices with 53,000 signatures asking the company to include women on its board of directors. Marie Wilson, who co-founded the career shadowing program for parents and kids, was standing right outside.

We also talked about WeVideo, an app that lets you upload videos and collaborate with colleagues on the brand new Google Drive. Have you tried it yet?
