Cellphones aren’t known for their incredible Web browsing skills. But numerous magazines, newspapers, and television networks have excellent mini-pages that you actually have a shot at reading on your cell phone. I wrote a Tips article for Smart Device Central listing 12 such sites.
To view these sites on your cell phone, you’ll need some kind of data plan activated. Otherwise you’ll likely just see an error message. You’ll also need to fire up your cell phone’s built-in Web browser. Here are some sites relevant to news and media, just as an example:

USA Today: http://wap.usatoday.com
MSNBC: http://www.msnbc.com (it will auto-detect your cell phone)
