Moblastic Buy Brings Bling to FunMobility

Mobile content and services provider FunMobility has acquired Moblastic, a mobile social company that specializes in “innovative photo editing technology with mobile capabilities.” That essentially boils down into letting users add bling – animated glitter and sparkles, text bubbles and other doodads – to their pictures and send them to any phone. It also brings a live Facebook app and mobile slideshow technology.

FunMobility sees the buy as a way to speed its push into the direct-to-consumer space by providing cool Web functionality to mobile users.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
