Moment.me Revamps Photo Options

Moment.me AndroidMoment.me, the supercharged social app for the here and now, released an Android update that gives users the option to use archived photos on their smartphones, not just those from social networks or ones taken in the app.

The update is expected to roll out to iOS users in recent weeks.

Moment.me allows users to create live “moments” by stacking photos together for a colorful visual display. One person can create a moment while friends add images and comments to it, building it together. You can also add strangers’ photos from events or moments happening nearby.

The Moment.me news feed also pulls in all the photos from your social networks, as long as you authorize it to pull those: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Instagram.

You also have the option of making moments public or private.

The team at Moment.me recommends the app for events like weddings, concerts, sporting events, and holiday get-togethers like the upcoming Thanksgiving. According to its promo video, it’s also good for spring break.

Moment.me launched in 2012, and now boasts about 3 million users.
