It looks like Apple’s stream video for iPhone ban is over in a big way. I was wowwed yesterday by Ustream’s iPhone app…

Then, mobile video streaming leader Qik announced…

…followed by the actual availability of the app in the iTunes App Store…

Qik for 3GS 4.32

The big differences between Ustream’s Live Broadcaster and Qik for 3GS is exactly as Qik’s app name implies: It only works on the iPhone 3GS while Ustream’s app also works on the older 3G model.

FYI: If you’re wondering about Qik’s version release number, the app was previously available only for jailbroken iPhones. This is the first version of their app available for all iPhone 3GS units.

By the way, I wandered out into actual sunlight yesterday to test Ustream Live Broadcaster again. You can see a much clearer video in my second test of Ustream’s app on my iPhone 3G below…
