Motor Trend Launches iPad Magazine

iPad magazines are the new black. Last week The Economist launched an iPad magazine, today Richard Branson announced his new iPad magazine called ‘Project’ and now Motor Trend, the automotive magazine is announcing that their new iPad magazine is available in the App Store.

The Motor Trend magazine app is interactive and designed specifically for the tablet. It features exclusive content that is not available in print or online, including integrated video, audio commentary from the editorial staff and new ways of car comparison charts. The first issue, which is available for $3.99, lets users virtually reveal Motor Trend’s “Car of the Year” award by removing a virtual wrap across the iPad’s display.

With all of these new apps in play on the iPad, we wonder if these magazine publishers will be formatting these digital magzines for the Nook Color, which is supposed to include a lot of periodicals.
