In a deal that will give Motorola stronger video advertising on its cell phones, the world’s #2 handset maker is buying Terayon Communication Systems.
According to the Reuters report, the service will give Motorola video-processing technology that allows for the insertion of digital ads. It will also allow for graphic overlays and other methods of channel branding. As is usually the case with these kinds of deals, there’s no word yet on what consumers can expect to see.
