Zune.jpgRemember how Microsoft’s MSN divsion decided to shut down its MSN Music servers, which stranded all of the music its customers bought on the computers it was already authorized for? No? Well, Microsoft stepped back and realized that it was a horrible idea.

Engadget is reporting that MSN has decided to re-up the DRM authorization servers and keep them online until 2011. This means that customers can now take the music they paid for and re-authorize it for new devices, including new cell phones and new computers, for another three years.

We’re hoping that by 2011, all this DRM nonsense will have disappeared off the face of the earth, but we have our doubts.
