MTV’s Los Premios MTV 2008 Now on Mobile

MTV Latin America announced several new online and mobile initiatives that let interested viewers learn more about, and interact with, Los Premios MTV 2008. Viewers can receive live information about Los Premios MTV on their cell phones by sending the word LENGUA via SMS to 25151. Fans can also download the usual expected assortment of Los Premios MTV wallpaper, ringtones and screensavers by texting the word PREMIOS to the same number.

Another new initiative is called Strip SMS. Here’s how it works (and we’re quoting here): During the show, couples will be seen stripping off their clothes every time viewers send the word CONDON via SMS to 25252. With each SMS message received, the couple will remove another article of clothing. (How many articles of clothing will they be wearing?) The company will donate the cost of each message to UNICEF.
