My Damn Channel Seeking Hundreds Of Series For New Comedy Network

My Damn Channel is “building the best and biggest multi-channel network for comedy series” and they’re looking for content creators to help make it happen.  My Damn Channel Comedy Network is aiming to offer “hundreds of new comedy series premiering in 2013.”

A dedicated page on the My Damn Channel website provides some background information about the new network:

“New comedy series premiere weekly on new channels on our site and on our YouTube network.  We’ll continue to produce My Damn Channel Originals as we have since 2007.  Now, for the first time, we’re hand picking the very best comedy from more great talent to join our network.”

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be part of My Damn Channel’s new network you can submit your project at mydamnchannel.com/Comedy-Network.

My Damn Channel Founder/CEO Rob Barnett says, “For the past six years, we’ve worked with some of the best talent in the world, who will continue to be funded by our network, advertisers and the major media companies hiring us to produce breakthrough original comedy.  We’re investing in the team and infrastructure to make the My Damn Channel Comedy Network the first choice for fans and the right choice for talent.”

According to a press release, as part of the launch of the new comedy network, Barnett “has appointed Eric Mortensen to the My Damn Channel management team in the newly-created position of director of programming and acquisitions.  He joins the company after six years at Blip, where he was senior director, content and network programming.”

This news comes on the tails of a massively successful year for My Damn Channel.  The company experienced “a 300% increase in revenue; 268% increase in videos produced; 366% increase in YouTube subscribers; 550% increase in U.S. YouTube views and a 91% increase in total video views across all of its owned and operated sites in 2012 vs. 2011.”
