MySpaceLogo2.jpgFollowing what turned out to be erroneous reports by paidContent and AllThingsD that Media Link president Wenda Harris Millard was set to take over ad sales at MySpace while remaining with Media Link, paidContent clarified the story: MySpace did not hire Millard; it hired Media Link.

AllThingsD added that current MySpace head of ad sales Jeff Berman is leaving the News Corp.-owned social-media company.

Millard left her post as co-CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia to join Media Link in April, and she also headed ad sales at Yahoo!.

She told paidContent:

I am not going to MySpace. They did not hire me, they hired Media Link. I’m president of Media Link. It’s a decision I made, it’s where I’m staying. The story is not true. I personally work on every engagement we have in the digital space.
