
MySpace senior vice president of engineering Allen Hurff became the latest high-level executive to leave the social-networking site, announcing Friday via Twitter, “After 4 1/2 great years, today is technically my last day at MySpace! Leaving to follow that urge to build something of my own!,” TechCrunch reported.
According to TechCrunch, Hurff and former senior VP of operations Jim Benedetto were largely behind assembling MySpace’s technology team, and Hurff served as chairman of OpenSocial, which allowed third-party applications to be integrated with MySpace.
