Davos, Switzerland, is lovely in January, according to MySpace and The Wall Street Journal.
The social-networking site and the newspaper are teaming up to send one MySpace user to the World Economic Forum, where he or she will receive all-expenses-paid travel; invitations to the Young Global Leaders opening conference and other media events; attendance at private meetings with WSJ editors and News Corp. executives; the opportunity to contribute written and video blogs to MySpace and the Journal; and syndication of his or her MySpace blog via WSJ.com.
To enter, contestants must post videos on their MySpace profiles discussing why they deserve to go to Davos and answering one of the following questions:
Name two issues—one global and one local—in which you’ve been actively engaged over the past year. What have they taught you about your impact on the world?
Which country caught your attention most this year? What are the primary issues facing its citizens and how would you resolve them?
What pressing global issue has been underreported? Why is the international community neglecting the topic? How would you draw attention to mobilize support?
The deadline for entry is Jan. 11.
