Nanigans, a social ad optimization service, is offering social application and website developers real-time, pay-for-performance Facebook advertising solutions. Their system measures ad performance by examining targeted, individual responses to ad images and copy and adjusts the budget, bids, and time-of-day based on this data. This is a follow up to our video with their CEO from yesterday’s Social Developer Summit.
Social application developers can pay for this service on a cost-per-install basis or cost-per-action basis. Nanigans CEO, Ric Calvillo thinks the latter will appeal to developers, saying that, “The days of buying blind installs are over. Why not pay for new users based on how they monetize?” The CPA pricing model is part of Nanigans’ strategy to provide social application and website developers with valuable, high quality users rather than passive viewers.
This service has been in beta testing, with a handful of developers on Facebook working out the kinks, prior to this all-developer release. It is now available for any advertiser.
Paying users are infinitely more valuable to social application and web developers than non-paying users, and Nanigans users sophisticated tests and calibrations to tweak ads so they appeal to the targeted demographic and motivate them to pay. Nanigans’ service will no doubt be welcomed by developers looking to monetize users on Facebook.
