Napster Now Available For Android

Napster has joined the ranks of music services that work on Android phones with the release of the Napster Android app. It will cost $10 per month to gain access to Napster’s catalog of ten million songs, which you can also stream on iPhones, Windows and Mac computers, and home audio systems from Sonos and Logitech. Desktop only access costs $5 per month, and annual subscriptions are also available at $50 for the desktop plan and $96 for the desktop plus mobile plan.

Napster is not offering a free, ad supported option like competing services, but it does have a free trial. The Android version of the Napster app has the same features as the iPhone version that was previously released. Napster provides you the ability to search for songs and explore for songs by genre. It has a few pre-defined categories of music, including new releases on Tuesdays, Napster playlists, Top 100s, and Billboard charts. With ten million songs Napster’s catalog of music is considerably larger than most music services. If you are interested in trying out Napster on an Android phone, you will find it in the Android market.
