Napster has added music videos to its unlimited, over-the-air mobile music subscription service in Japan. Offered through NTT DoCoMo, the Napster Clips service initially works on the new N906iL “onefone” handset that runs on DoCoMo’s 3G network. Subscribers can also access it through the carrier’s new Home U high-speed wireless LAN service that runs on a home’s broadband network.
Additionally, the first 20,000 N906iL owners who sign up get a free six-month subscription to the Napster To Go unlimited music – and now video – service.
Napster Clips is launching with videos from “dozens of Japanese and Western artists,” Mobile Entertainment reports.
