
If you are a space info junkie, here’s a free iPhone app for you direct from NASA Ames Research Center…
NASA app for iPhone 1.0 (iTunes App Store)
It provides mission information, photos, videos, and tweet updates. In fact, as you can see in my screenshot above, the app lets you know when there are updates available. You can see that there were video and Twitter tweet updates (labeled “Updates) when I opened the app on my iPhone for the first time.
The photo app is more than a collection of pretty pictures. Tapping the “i” button in the bottom right corner brings up a paragraph of information about the photo. You can also save a photo to the iPhone’s photo album. This lets you set the photo as a background from the album. Photos can also be emailed directly from the NASA app.
