What can I do to improve the GPS-Signal of my iPhone?

One piece of advice I had not been given before is not to use a protective cover. This seems obvious after reading it. But, I had never considered that before. Nor, had I seen this advice anywhere else.

The other piece of Navigon advice took me aback: They recommend a complete iPhone reset at the Erase all Conent and Settings. Navigon cautions that this might take two hours or more for some iPhone models. The purpose of this, they say, is to reorganize the iPhone’s memory.
