NBA Digital announced record-setting numbers for their NBA All-Star 2009 multi-platform coverage. Seven million fans watched coverage online and via mobile devices from Fri, Feb. 13 through Mon., Feb. 16. NBA.com’s NBA All-Star Scene section drew 1.4 million video streams of more than 400 videos.
“The unprecedented success of NBA All-Star Scene shows how TV, the Internet and Wireless can be coordinated into a highly-engaging, multi-platform experience for fans and demonstrates the strength of the NBA Digital assets,” said Bryan Perez, SVP/GM of NBA Digital in a press release.
Turner Sports is also crowing about its ratings for the All Star game on TNT Sunday night. 6.55 million viewers watched, up 26% over last year’s game. It was the most-watched All Star match-up in the 24-year history of the game.
