NBC News Celebrating March on Washington Anniversary with #DreamDay Social Media Campaign

NBC #DreamDay
NBC News is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech by encouraging viewers to get involved on social media.

Today through Aug. 28, anyone can complete the statement “I Have a Dream that ____,” and post it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or Vine using hashtag #DreamDay.

These messages will be curated and posted online at NBCNews.com/DreamDay, and highlighted during “Today” and “NBC Nightly News.” These postings will also be featured on digital signage outside NBC’s headquarters in New York City.

Right now, NBCNews.com/DreamDay includes “I Have a Dream that” statements from the Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King III, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Gov. Chris Christie, Carmelo Anthony, Ivanka Trump, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, Levar Burton, Terry Crews, and others. NBC News journalists that have posted messages include Matt Lauer, Lester Holt, David Gregory, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Chuck Todd, Willie Geist, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Rehema Ellis, Erica Hill, Ron Mott, and Jeff Rossen.

Sister network Telemundo is also participating in this social media campaign. Viewers can post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or Vine using hashtag #misueñoes. Posts will be featured on “Un Nuevo Dia” and “Al Rojo Vivo.”
