NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams Dials Up Windows Phone App

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams announced the release of a free app for the Windows Phone platform.

The app allows users to watch entire broadcasts, video segments, and exclusive online video, as well as offering access to Williams’ blog and top headlines from msnbc.com, and users can post videos and comments to Facebook directly via the app.

NBC Nightly News executive producer Bob Epstein said:

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with the Windows Phone team. Our goal is to make Nightly News available to viewers wherever and whenever they want — whether on TV, online, or now on their Windows Phones.

Microsoft senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace Todd Brix added:

Nightly News is a great example of the rich applications that people will find on Windows Phone Marketplace. It delivers a visually compelling view of the day’s biggest news stories that takes advantage of Windows Phone’s dynamic design and enables users to get the most out of their phone. Windows Phone continues to be backed by a rich developer ecosystem that is creating a variety of quality apps and games.
