NBC To Stream Convention Coverage on Mobile

The Olympics aren’t the only big event NBC is taking mobile. The network, together with its cable brethren MSNBC and CNBC, will make more than 200 hours of news coverage from the upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions available on its NBC News 2 Go and NBC Mobile channels, Fierce Mobile Content reports.

Mobile coverage from both conventions will start with the 6 am broadcast of Morning Joe and continue throughout the day. Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann will start the primetime coverage at 7 pm, with anchors Brian Williams, Tom Brokaw, Andrea Mitchell, Chuck Todd, Dan Abrams and Norah O’Donnell providing coverage from the convention floors.

The Democrats meet from August 25-28; the Republicans are convening September 1-4.
