NBC Universal plans to offer 2,200 hours of live competition encompassing 25 sports on NBCOlympics.com, MediaPost reports—with thousands more available on demand.
Gary Zenkel, the NBC Olympics president, announced on Monday that NBC Olympics Mobile will present what the network is claiming to be “the most comprehensive sporting event coverage ever delivered on mobile, providing Olympic fans with the best in news and video coverage,” according to the report.
The studio’s coverage will also encompass NBCOlympics.com on MSN, a Silverlight partnership with Microsoft, more than a dozen Olympic Insider blogs, and home page widgets.
