Just one day after adding Susanna Schrobsdorff, Charlie Rogers and Elizabeth Zack to its editorial ranks, more personnel changes are afoot at iVillage Networks, as parent NBC Universal announced the promotion of Hilary Smith to senior vice president, communications, NBC Universal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks, giving her strategic oversight of all communications for iVillage.

Smith had been VP, NBCU corporate communications, leading communications for Women@NBCU, the company’s female-targeted sales and marketing initiative, and Green Is Universal, its environmental initiative.

In addition to the iVillage responsibilities, Smith also adds oversight of NBCU’s recently announced health initiative, a companywide effort to connect consumers and marketers with the programmer’s health and wellness content.

Smith joined the corporate-communications department in 2002 as director of media relations and was promoted to VP in 2006.

“In her newly expanded role, she will be instrumental in continuing to cement our presence to both consumers and to the trade in the women and lifestyle space, particularly as we gear up for the exciting relaunch of iVillage and roll out our new health initiative to the marketplace,” NBCU Women and Lifestyle Entertainment Networks president Lauren Zalaznick said.
