Google has launched an iPad application that is designed for the larger screen and motion controls. The app provides you with most of the Google+ functionality that’s available on the HTML5 web site, but also includes a few stylistic improvements that are interesting to use. One of the coolest features may be the ability to start a Google+ Hangout using your iPad. This may be an extremely attractive feature to those interested in simple group video chat.
You can read more about the new iPad app at the Google blog, and see that there are also improvements to the iPhone app as well.
The new Hangouts feature may be an interesting opportunity for Google to move in on Skype and even on Apple’s Facetime. There’s no doubt that Google Hangouts are one of the best way to video chat with a group, and with added features like being able to use YouTube and share links together, this will definitely become another selling point for the network.
