New iPhone’s USB Cable Leaked Online

The new iPhone is widely believed to have a smaller docking port, and a number of what could be leaked parts confirm this, but until today we had never seen a complete USB cable for the new iPhone.

iLounge posted this image earlier today. As you can see, it appears to be a complete cable for the new iPhone, and aside from the new connection on the end it looks just like the cable I have for my iPad. But is it real?

iLounge got it via a tweet from a Twitter user who’s profile links back to a website for a China-based USB accessories maker. That strikes me as someone who might actually have the cable ahead of time. While I don’t know if he got it illicitly or not, I could see samples being shared between fellow manufacturers on the down low.

And even if it’s not true, the rumor itself is delicious.
