New Mobile Friendly Wikipedia Web Site Looks Good on iPhone, But So-So on Windows Mobile

Wikipedia launched a mobile friendly formatted site at…

But, like many sites, it is particularly friendly to the iPhone and cordially polite to other platforms like Windows Mobile. You can see what it looks like on my Windows Mobile touch-screen HTC TyTn on the left in the screenshot above and on an iPod touch on the right. I’m guessing that most people will agree with me that the iPhone formatted version looks a lot nicer than the Windows Mobile formatted version.

That said, Wikipedia item pages are readable on the Windows Mobile smartphone once you get past the jumbled banner area at the top.
