The Guardian UK has released a new eBook telling how they broke the News Corps phone hacking scandal story.

While it is a good way for the newspaper to toot its own horn, it is also a testament to how the eBook format lends itself to getting a book out quickly, more like a feature magazine story.

The eBook is available in the Kindle Store in the UK for £2.29. It is currently No. 1 in the Kindle Store’s “Media Studies” category and No. 5 in the Kindle Store’s “Politics and Current Affairs” category. An iTunes version is coming soon.

The eBook is a compilation of the newspaper’s reporting on News Corps since 2005 to the present day. This includes reporting from contributors Nick Davies, Amelia Hill, Patrick Wintour and Roy Greenslade.
