NextIssue’s ‘Netflix for Magazines’ App Comes to the iPad

The magazine app for Android tablets has finally come to the iPad. On July 10, NextIssue released its new app with 39 titles including Bon Appetit, Brides, Golf Digest, GQ, Self, Vogue, and Wired.

Launched in April 2012, Next Issue is a joint venture with five U.S.-based publishers: Conde Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp., and Time Inc. The app offers digital subscriptions to popular magazines.

You can subscribe to a single magazine, several at once, or just purchase a single issue. The unlimited and unlimited premium plans include multiple monthly and weekly magazines for $9.99 and $14.99 per month, respectively. Single subscriptions range between $1.99 and $9.99 per month; individual issues cost between $2.49 and $5.99 per issue.

The magazines are optimized for the tablet with videos, bonus photography, and audio tracks, as well as social and other interactive features. You can save the issues on the device for offline reading, which makes them perfect for the subway.
