Nokia continues to grow its content business, most recently with today’s acquisition of a “context-aware” social networking company called Plazes.

The Plazes service is designed to help its users connect and make plans with friends. Users can send alerts detailing where they are and what they’re doing, see what past activities their friends have posted and go back-and-forth with friends to make and finalize plans, Mobile Entertainment reports.

Last year, Nokia bought media-share service Twango, which has since become Share on Ovi, part of its Ovi mobile services platform that also includes the social service Mosh, among others.
