Nokia has updated the software that runs its 5800 XpressMusic phone.
The upgrade adds faster data download, a better e-mail client, improved search and other new features and functions, for just about everything but the music player. These include new camcorder features like second camera support for still image capture in addition to video calls and the ability to take multiple pictures without needing to repress the picture-taking button.
There’s also a new built-in dictionary complete with voice playback of words using text-to-speak and support for 38 languages. Additionally, Nokia added an Application Update feature that lets users check for available updates – and download them – directly on the device, as well as set the feature to automatic so that apps will always be kept up-to-date.
