Nuance Introducing Dragon Medical Mobile Apps for the iPhone

Nuance is introducing a set of medical mobile apps. They don’t specify a mobile platform. But, the screenshots are obviously from an iPhone.

Dragon Medical Mobile Technologies for Smartphones

- Dragon Medical Mobile Dictate: Allows dictating patient notes on a smartphone
- Dragon Medical Mobile Search: Search for medical inforamtion from a variety of medical content sites
- Dragon Medical Mobile Recorder: General dictation

They also offer a Dragon Medical Mobile SDK to allow developers to include speech recognition in their own vertical market medical apps.

I wonder though if any privacy issues are created by sending confidential medical information such as patient notes to a server for processing speech-to-text.
