PRNewser‘s Joe Ciarallo attended the PaidContent 2010 conference today in New York City. At the conference, Martin Neisenholtz, SVP, Digital Operations, The New York Times Company said of the company’s digital goals, “We intend to remain the largest newspaper website in the world, that is our goal.”

Neisenholtz also said publishers need to be more aggressive in managing data about their users. “The publishing industry has let its audience be tracked and in some sense pilfered by all sorts of players,” said Neisenholtz, “and those days are rapidly nearing an end.”
