Odyl Launches Facebook Tool For Book Marketing

For authors looking to connect with new readers on Facebook, a company called Odyl has released a new social marketing platform designed for you.

The platform lets you post excerpts from your books, music playlists and trailers among other things. It has a metrics tool, so you can track your readers. There is a poll and quiz tool and there is also a tool to give out promos like books and galleys. It also has a setting to let you import content from other places on the web, like Goodreads reviews Scribd docs, Twitter feeds, as well as YouTube and Flickr pages.

The company already counts Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Group, Random House, Simon & Schuster and Avon as clients. In addition authors Katie Couric, Suze Orman and Janet Evanovich also use the platform to promote their books.
