Official Flickr App For Windows Phone 7 Is Now Available

The HTC HD7 is the first smartphone that I have owned with a 4.3 inch screen. I have found that a 4.3 screen is perfect for looking at pictures and even watching video. The Pictures hub in Windows Phone 7 is pretty good with pulling in pictures from Facebook and Windows Live, but it doesn’t pull in pictures from Flickr. I have my Windows Live profile connected to my Flickr account, but none of the pictures I upload to Flickr appear on the profile.

Flickr has been my primary tool for sharing pictures online, and therefore I am really happy to learn that Yahoo has released the official Flickr app for Windows Phone 7. The Flickr app makes it easy to upload pictures from the phone to Flickr, view your photostream, favorites, and sets, and explorer pictures taken by other Flickr users. The Flickr app also includes a live tile that displays random pictures that change once an hour.

The Flickr app for Windows Phone 7 is free and available now in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
