Join One Day On Earth & Film Life Around The Globe Tomorrow, 12/12/12

One Day On Earth, the collaborative film project that documented life on earth on 10/10/10 and 11/11/11, is revving up to film life around the globe tomorrow, 12/12/12, and it’s not too late to be a part of it!

According to the project’s website, “On December 12th, 12.12.12., across the planet, documentary filmmakers, students, and other inspired citizens will record the human experience over a 24-hour period and contribute their voice to the third annual global day of media creation called One Day On Earth.  Together, we will create a shared archive and a film.”

Want to get involved in the project?  The rules are pretty simple: You can start shooting at 12:01 AM (your local time) on Wednesday, 12/12/12, and may shoot footage at any time during that 24-hour period.  Shoot footage on your camera or on your iPhone, using Vyclone.  A partnership with Vyclone lets you automatically upload and geo-locate your footage to One Day On Earth’s archive.

At the beginning of your footage, state your name and country, the time of day, subject you are filming and location.  Note that One Day On Earth has provided the following suggested theme: “What do you have? What do you need?”

Once your footage is shot, you’ll have one month to upload it to www.onedayonearth.org.  Check out One Day On Earth’s Best Practices Guide and Submission Guidelines to find out more about how to get involved.
